Your stand's floor is the largest branding surface you have — and usually the least used. Disstands produces custom printed carpet with your logo, brand pattern or full-surface artwork, turning the ground itself into part of the stand design. Printed in Spain, with the Bfl-s1 fire certification exhibition venues require.

What can be printed?

  • Logos and wordmarks — repeated across the surface or placed at the stand entrance and key sightlines.
  • Full-surface artwork — photographic or vector designs covering the entire floor, edge to edge.
  • Brand colours and patterns — reproduce your visual identity precisely, beyond what plain coloured carpet can offer.
  • Directional graphics — arrows, walkways and zone markers for large stands, congresses and retail events.

How the process works

Send us your artwork (vector formats preferred) and the stand dimensions. Our team checks resolution and colour profiles, sends you a print proof for approval, and produces the carpet with high-resolution printing on exhibition-grade material. Standard production fits normal fair calendars; tell us your build-up date and we plan backwards from it, including a buffer for the proof round so approval never becomes the bottleneck. Professional installation is available, recommended for full-surface designs where pattern alignment across rolls matters.

Design guidelines: what works on a floor

A floor is not a wall, and designs that shine on a banner can fail underfoot. Four rules from two decades of printed floors. Scale up: a logo that looks right on screen is usually too small on 50 m² of carpet — floor graphics are viewed from standing height at an oblique angle, so generous sizing and spacing win. Contrast beats detail: bold shapes and strong colour contrast survive fibre texture and trampling; hairline strokes and tiny lettering do not. Mind the furniture: map where counters, displays and seating will sit before placing graphics, or your logo spends the show under a sofa. Think in sightlines: the highest-value zones are the stand entrance, the main walkway approach and — increasingly — the overhead camera angle for event photography and video. Send us the stand plan and we will place the artwork where it actually gets seen.

What determines the price

Printed carpet is quoted per project rather than from a flat rate, because four variables drive the cost: total surface (larger runs bring the per-m² cost down), design coverage (a placed logo costs less than edge-to-edge artwork), colour complexity (flat brand colours versus photographic gradients), and deadline (standard production is economical; compressed timelines are possible but priced accordingly). Send the artwork and dimensions with your enquiry and the quote comes back itemised, so you can see exactly what moves the number and adjust the design if the budget demands it.

Where printed carpet works best

Printed carpet is a favourite for trade show stands at venues like Fira de Barcelona and IFEMA Madrid, product launches, brand activations and congress registration areas. It photographs exceptionally well — an increasingly important detail when every stand ends up on social media. We have printed floors for sports brands, tech companies and event agencies across Spain and Europe, as part of the more than 50,000 m² we have installed for clients like Google, Porsche and FC Barcelona.

Two use cases deserve special mention. Sponsorship activation: at congresses and sports events, a printed floor turns circulation areas into sponsor inventory — visitors literally walk the brand, and the aerial photography writes the sponsorship report by itself. Wayfinding at scale: for events spread across several halls, printed directional carpet outperforms hanging signage because it sits exactly where people look when they navigate a crowd: down.

Preparing your artwork: the details that save days

Most production delays trace back to artwork, so here is what smooths the path. Supply vector files (PDF, AI, EPS) with text converted to outlines — fonts embedded in a file you send on Monday have a habit of going missing by Wednesday. Specify colours as Pantone references where brand fidelity matters; we translate them to the closest achievable tones on fibre and flag any that will shift noticeably. Build in bleed: floor dimensions move a few centimetres during stand assembly, and artwork that extends beyond the nominal edge absorbs those surprises invisibly. For photographic designs, send the highest resolution you have — we confirm whether it holds up at floor scale before anything is printed. Every job gets a print proof for your approval; nothing goes into production on assumptions.

Can printed carpet be reused?

Sometimes — and it is worth planning for. A printed floor that avoids event-specific dates or hall references can travel to the next show if it is lifted carefully, rolled rather than folded, and stored dry. Exhibitors running the same stand design across a season often print the branded zones once and replace only the plain surround at each event, cutting cost and waste in one move — a pattern that works especially well for agencies managing the same client across several shows a year. If reuse is part of your plan, tell us before production: we will recommend the fitting method that lifts cleanest and quote the multi-event logistics alongside the printing itself.

Combine it with the rest of your floor

Many clients print only the high-visibility zones and complete the stand with plain carpet in a matching colour — a smart way to get maximum impact per euro. With more than 60 plain colours in stock, we can match or contrast your printed area precisely. Frequently asked questions

What file format do you need for the artwork?
Vector formats (PDF, AI, EPS) are preferred for logos and patterns. For photographic full-surface designs, high-resolution raster files work too — our team checks resolution before production and sends a proof for approval.
How long does printed carpet take to produce?
Production time depends on size and design, but standard orders fit normal trade fair calendars. Tell us your build-up date and we plan the production and delivery backwards from it.
Is printed carpet allowed in exhibition venues?
Yes — our printed carpet is produced on exhibition-grade material with the Bfl-s1 fire certification that Spanish and European venues require.
